Libby Heaney, and it oozed out the machine, 2022, Hard-sculpted glass, courtesy of Gazelli

Conceived for the exhibition ‘remiQXing still’, these hard sculpted glass interventions are physical embodiments of the slime that invades the product launch video of ‘QX’, Heaney’s fictional quantum computing company that parodies Big Tech. Placed seemingly incidentally and haphazardly, these sculptures seep and ooze out of walls, doors, furniture, creating an unsettling reminder of the interconnectedness between the quantum, virtual and material worlds.
