Created for the solo-exhibition Quantum Soup at HEK in Basel (2024), these two glass snail-like sculptures explore the contrasting yet comparable properties of glass and quantum particles.

While glass liquefies when heated, quantum particles become wave-like in extreme cold. The transparent glass cells, fused together into shapes reminiscent of solidified liquid, produce refractions and reflections of light from other video works in the exhibition, offering ever-changing perspectives. The titles blend Aphrodite, symbolizing beauty and love, with “Supra,” meaning “beyond,” alluding to the themes of quantum entanglement and boundary-crossing.
